Hello! And welcome to the Let's Talk TRIO podcast webpage. This podcast is dedicated to capturing the countless stories of TRIO alumni, current participants, the staff and their advocates.

What inspired the start of this podcast?

Juan Rivas (co-founder of the podcast), TRIO Upward Bound and Student Support Services graduate, experimented with a possible TRIO-themed radio show in 2015-2016 on Eastern New Mexico University's Hound Waves Radio. After graduation, Juan shelved this idea of a TRIO-themed radio program. Ecouragement from various friends and TRIO professionals, Juan decided to jump into the world of podcasting with TRIO being at the center.

Juan is a TRIO Upward Bound and Student Support Services alum and graduate of Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) holding a bachelor's in history and a master's in communication. His passion to advocate for TRIO programs inspired him to create a podcast that allows staff, students, alumni, and advocates to share their TRIO journey.
